Meet Elizabeth

I’m excited that you are interested in hiring me and my team to clean your office space.
To persuade you into choosing us I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and why I’m the best
choice.

For about 8 years I helped manage the operations of a commercial cleaning service. There I
learned techniques to clean common spaces, carpets and
upholstery and how to strip and re-finish tile floors.

 

That experience left me eager to start my own service however, I knew I when I did, I wanted my cleaning service to be the best. I brainstormed ways to start a cleaning service that will top other services. That’s
when I took a job as a custodian cleaning at a hospital.

At the hospital learned hospital style sanitizing and cleaning techniques that supported high traffic areas. After some time, I requested to move to the surgical center. I specifically wanted to learn the next level of sanitizing and disinfecting. What better way to learn than to clean spaces
that patients are in before and after surgery. Once I felt I was really good at it, I thought I was
ready to go off on my own and start my cleaning service.  Then I had another idea. I wanted to
learn how to make a space feel inviting. How can I learn what it takes to make any space
relaxing and enjoyable? I took a job at a bed and breakfast for a
summer.

At the b&b, I learned the importance of resetting a space. I learned that making a
space look inviting is an extremely important part to making a space not just look clean but also feel clean. It helps the mind relax and sets a tone that feels safe.
After that adventure, I was ready to combine everything I've learned to provide the best cleaning service around.  That's when Elizabeth's Extra Clean was born.

My cleaning success has also led me to having contracts with a University then later working for them. 
During covid, I contracted with them to clean their isolation and quarantine spaces. My team and
I did so well I was invited to interview for a role with their facilities team and oversee the
custodial department. Just when I thought I knew everything I needed to know to be successful,
the resources the University has provided has taught me so much more about cleaning.
There I’ve been privileged to learn about many different commercial grade chemicals and equipment. I’ve
done trainings in the science of bacteria and mold.

 

My role at the University has been extremely
successful. I’ve created procedures and routines to fit the needs of a busy campus. We have
won awards for the impact my teams have made to the campus community.

 

Custodial work is
not just keeping a space clean, it’s keeping people safe and healthy. Elizabeth’s Extra Clean
takes that challenge very serious.
